36 weeks

So I have been a major slacker at blogging. My apologies. On Monday, Baby hit his 36 week mark. I had my 36 week appointment on Tuesday. Total weight gain is around 20 lbs. Baby is growing right on track and is perfectly healthy. Every time I go to the doctor, they always tell me what a great heartbeat he has and what a happy little boy he is. This week the doctor was really impressed with how active Baby is. There was a lot of noise on the Doppler. He was all over the place!

This week, I was also measured for the first time. I am dilated about half a centimeter. Doesn't sound like much when you think that I'm .5/10 cm, but the doctor told me that measurement is pretty normal given the amount of time I have left. Also, the doctor finally confirmed that Baby is head down! He was pretty sure that he was a while ago, but at this appointment he checked for sure. Good Baby! Now stay that way! :)

The only bad news I got at this appointment was that my blood pressure was really high. 138/93. Yikes. So I have to do the 24 hr urine test again. Gross. They give you this huge orange biohazard container to collect all your pee in for 24 hours. And you have to store it in the fridge or else it'll start growing stuff in it. Yuck! That also means that next week, I will have blood work done when I go in.

Other than that, everything looks good. I should get my Group B Strep test back next week, too. I should have gotten it back this time, but they couldn't find the results. Oops. Hopefully they find them because I really would prefer to not have that test done again.
