Big Boy Clothes

The sad day has arrived when my sweet baby boy has outgrown his newborn clothing. It's time to pack it all away. I know, he's two months old, it's about time they got too snug, but it makes me a little sad that Braxton is growing up so quickly. Plus, his newborn clothes are by far the cutest of everything he has...

Here he is in his 0-3 mo clothes. I think this one is my new favorite outfit on him. Not pictured is the little blue whale on his bum. So cute!

Friday Date Night

Since Braxton was born six weeks ago, I have been on maternity leave from my job at BYU. Kyle, however, has been working hard to bring in the moolah, so Brax is my Friday night date while Kyle is at work... only sometimes he falls asleep... :)
Sweet dreams, cute boy!

Big Like Daddy

Sometimes Daddy just can't wait for Braxton to grow up! He is so excited to have a little buddy to play with! Sorry about the sun spots in the pictures. This was just too cute to not document!
Come sit with me, Brax!
Woah, why are you fussing?!
Playing on the floor.
Look how little Brax looks next to Kyle!
Just walk already! Daddy is eager for Braxton to grow big enough to play with! I can already tell they will be great friends! I just love my cute boys!

Smile!

A couple weeks ago, Braxton gave me his first smile! He normally smiles after he has eaten or when he is drifting off to sleep, but this was his first deliberate smile! It is so exciting to see Braxton achieving new milestones! His smiles are coming more frequently now, and we just love them (though they still require him to be in the right mood and a lot of effort on our part). We love you, cute boy!

Braxton's Blessing Day

Braxton Kyle Carson was blessed by his daddy, Kyle Carson, on March 27th, 2011 during the sacrament meeting of the BYU 109th Ward. Assisting in the blessing were Randy McIntire, Kent Carson, Ron McIntire, Brad Bentley, John Bentley, and Robby Nelson.

Many wonderful promises were including in Braxton's blessing. Among these were the opportunity to serve a mission for our Heavenly Father and to find a wife that will bring him much happiness. The blessing also mentioned the examples that Braxton has within his family and will have from other leaders.

A special thank you to all who were able attend and especially to those that assisted with the blessing. Our little boy is so special and we were so glad to share this special day with our families.

Conference Weekend

This weekend was Conference! There were so many excellent talks, many of which were about families. My favorite was by Elder Richard G. Scott. I loved everything about his talk. The way he talked about his wife was just so sweet and tender; you could really tell how much he loves her.

I have been so blessed lately with my own little family. My little boy is so sweet and happy. He love it when he smiles when I am talking to him, or how he stops crying as soon as I get him out of his bed. He brings such a sweet spirit into our home. I really can't imagine our life without him.

I also have an amazing husband. Kyle is so sweet to me and is such a great daddy to Brax. I love to watch him play with our son. It is just so cute and makes me love Kyle even more. Kyle tries to help out as much as he can. Every day when he comes home from class he always offers to watch Brax so that I can get some school work done. And most Saturdays he will take care of Brax when he wakes up so that I can sleep in. Even though he is so busy with school, he always takes time to help me in any way he can.

I am so grateful for my little family. They make life so rewarding. Here is a cute picture of my boys! Love them!
