Well, the contractions continued on and off all week and into the weekend. I tried all kinds of things to jump start my labor. Sometimes it would work and I would have contractions for a while, but even though some of them were quite strong, they never got closer than about 10 minutes apart.
On Monday, my due date, I was still pregnant. I cried that morning. I wanted that baby OUT. I was worried about going too far over my due date and how that would make things difficult at school. I went to my 40 week appointment that afternoon. I had an NST and then met with Dr. Wolsey. The results of the NST showed that I had a very high fluid level. That, along with my rising blood pressure, was enough for Dr. Wolsey to schedule me for a non-elective induction at 10:00 that night at the hospital.
That was weeks 39 and 40!
